We
stayed at the Grand Bahia Principe Bavaro during the
second week of April. The Bahia is a beautiful and
extremely well maintained resort. This is my fourth
and our third trip to Punta Cana. We have tried a
new resort each trip and this was by far the most
beautiful one. The food was your regular
all-inclusive fare save for the Garden Grill which
was exceptional! The beach was gorgeous, almost
sea-weed free. The usual 6 AM people were out there
reserving every lounger in the shade, by the pools
or on the beach (this gets a little more annoying
year after year) but we weren't there for the shade
anyway so we did not let it get to us.
The disco was the busiest I've ever seen at a resort
and the karaoke bar was a ton of fun. The nightly
shows were okay but the Circus show was great.
All in all ,we had a great time at this resort. Now
unfortunately comes the 'but'. If there is one
downside to this resort it is that there are far too
many Quebec - ers. It's a good thing that they
don't consider themselves Canadian because being one
myself - I would not want to be associated with
them. They were the most rude and demanding
complainers during this trip!!
Still, I would recommend the resort itself. The plus's
way out number the minus's.
