Documentation:

In the past Canadian citizens required only a birth certificate and government issued photo I.D. to travel to Mexico.  Changes to documentation requirements are coming for citizens travelling from Canada to Mexico that will require all Canadian citizens to provide a passport as of March 1st, 2010. Tourist cards are supplied by the tour operator upon booking.  A valid passport, however is highly recommended for travel out of country.  Some restrictions may apply to tourists 18 years and younger when travelling without parents. 

Climate:

Sub-Tropical.  Average temperatures range from 27 to 29 C from December to April and from May to November the temperatures will average between 29 and 33 C.

Destinations within Mexico: 

The most frequented areas in Mexico for tourists are Cancun, the Mayan Riviera, Puerto Vallarta as well as Los Cabos, Ixtapa, Cozumel, Merida, Tampico, and Acapulco.
