Location:
One of the Windward
Islands of the Lesser Antilles, St. Lucia is located midway down the
Eastern Caribbean chain, between Martinique and St. Vincent, and
north of Barbados. St. Lucia is only 27 miles long and 14 miles
wide, with a shape that is said to resemble either a mango or an
avocado (depending on your taste). The Atlantic Ocean kisses its
eastern shore, while the beaches of the west coast owe their beauty
to the calm Caribbean Sea.
Lush St. Lucia is the
Caribbean’s Bali Hai . . .
Ever been to a drive-in volcano? Here in
St. Lucia, wondrous beauty and centuries of history come together
naturally to create memorable vacations. With steep coastlines and
intricate reefs, St. Lucia is a picture paradise. It’s perfect for the
pursuit of pleasure from snorkelling and scuba diving, to golf and
tennis, and more. But that’s not all. Take in the sights and sounds of
centuries of culture. Listen to a Creole patois while dining on Indian
cuisine in a small French town. Be sure to also make time for an ecotour
in the island’s lush rain forest amid the mountains, where birdwatching
and hiking are truly unforgettable. And, of course, there’s the
Soufrière volcano, the world’s only drive-in volcanic crater. No popcorn
or previews, but the show is fantastic!
