DAY 1:
Southern Ontario to Ottawa
Our departure
this morning takes us via Toronto and Kingston. We enjoy a mid afternoon
arrival in Ottawa, Our Nation’s Capital for two nights.
DAY 2:
Ottawa, Ontario
This morning we
have a guided tour of the city of Ottawa to view the Parliament Buildings,
National War Memorial, Official Residence of the Prime Minister, Governor
General’s Residence, and Diplomatic Embassies, National Arts Centre, The
National Gallery and more. Later we tour the Canadian War Museum, featuring
artifacts and displays
of all Canadian
involvement in world conflicts. The afternoon is free for you to
choose from
one of the many
attraction ideas that your Tour Director will offer you. (B)
DAY 3:
Quebec City, Quebec
We leave Ottawa
this morning along the shores of the Ottawa River, glimpsing the magnificent
Gatineau Hills to the North as we enter La Belle Province. Along the North
Shore of the St. Lawrence River we enjoy lunch at Chez Dany’s, a traditional
Quebecois Sugar Shack. Enjoy the hospitality of the French Canadian pioneer
era, and learn of the Maple Syrup Industry of Quebec. This afternoon a
complete orientation tour of historic Quebec City, including Upper Town,
Lower Town, Old Quebec, Plains of Abraham, La Citadelle, Place Royale and
points of interest in modern Quebec City. Quebec City is a two night stay. (B,L)
DAY 4:
Quebec City, Quebec
This morning we travel via Cap-de-la-Madeleine, enroute
to Ste-Anne-de-Beaupre. Here we visit the Basilica
and the Grand Canyon of Ste. Anne Falls, where the
Ste-Anne River cuts through narrow chasms and falls over
200 feet to the riverbed. Quebec resembles no
other city in the world. Founded more than three and a
half centuries ago, it is a city steeped in history.

The
balance of the day is yours to enjoy in this charming
French-Canadian City, which is ideal for casually strolling the many
historic streets, filled with small, unique shops and restaurants.

DAY 5:
Montreal, Quebec
A
leisurely morning to enjoy your final views of Quebec City. Our
departure from Quebec City will have us travel the South Shore of
the
St.
Lawrence River. At Montreal, we cross over the River and enjoy a
visit to the Notre Dame Basilica, before we check into our downtown
Montreal
accommodations for the next 2 nights. (B)
DAY 6:
Montreal, Quebec
Following
breakfast, we enjoy a city tour of this very cosmopolitan city. You
will
see both
historic and modern side by side through-out the tour. The Basilica
of Notre Dame, the Planetarium, Olympic Stadium and McGill
University are just some of the many famous sights during your tour.
This afternoon is free to relax and stroll Old Montreal,
stroll downtown Montreal or shop the Underground Shopping Mall! (B)
DAY 7:
Home
We depart
Montreal for Kingston and here board a cruise boat to enjoy the
beauty of the 1,000 Islands. There are more than 1,700 Islands, and
even though some are merely rocks protruding from the water, quite a
number of the Islands are large enough to host a family cottage.
Afterwards we continue back to Toronto and our joining points
sharing many fond memories with our fellow travellers and new found
friends! (B) |
