Itinerary:

DAY 1: Southern Ontario to Ottawa

Our departure this morning takes us via Toronto and Kingston. We enjoy a mid afternoon arrival in Ottawa, Our Nation’s Capital for two nights.

DAY 2: Ottawa, Ontario

This morning we have a guided tour of the city of Ottawa to view the Parliament Buildings, National War Memorial, Official Residence of the Prime Minister, Governor General’s Residence, and Diplomatic Embassies, National Arts Centre, The National Gallery and more. Later we tour the Canadian War Museum, featuring artifacts and displays

of all Canadian involvement in world conflicts.  The afternoon is free for you to choose from

one of the many attraction ideas that your Tour Director will offer you. (B)

DAY 3: Quebec City, Quebec

We leave Ottawa this morning along the shores of the Ottawa River, glimpsing the magnificent Gatineau Hills to the North as we enter La Belle Province. Along the North Shore of the St. Lawrence River we enjoy lunch at Chez Dany’s, a traditional Quebecois Sugar Shack. Enjoy the hospitality of the French Canadian pioneer era, and learn of the Maple Syrup Industry of Quebec. This afternoon a complete orientation tour of historic Quebec City, including Upper Town, Lower Town, Old Quebec, Plains of Abraham, La Citadelle, Place Royale and points of interest in modern Quebec City. Quebec City is a two night stay. (B,L)

DAY 4: Quebec City, Quebec

This morning we travel via Cap-de-la-Madeleine, enroute to Ste-Anne-de-Beaupre.  Here we visit the Basilica and the Grand Canyon of Ste. Anne Falls, where the Ste-Anne River cuts through narrow chasms and falls over 200 feet to the riverbed.  Quebec resembles no other city in the world. Founded more than three and a half centuries ago, it is a city steeped in history.

The balance of the day is yours to enjoy in this charming French-Canadian City, which is ideal for casually strolling the many historic streets, filled with small, unique shops and restaurants. (B)

DAY 5: Montreal, Quebec

A leisurely morning to enjoy your final views of Quebec City. Our departure from Quebec City will have us travel the South Shore of the

St. Lawrence River. At Montreal, we cross over the River and enjoy a visit to the Notre Dame Basilica, before we check into our downtown

Montreal accommodations for the next 2 nights. (B)

DAY 6: Montreal, Quebec

Following breakfast, we enjoy a city tour of this very cosmopolitan city. You will

see both historic and modern side by side through-out the tour. The Basilica of Notre Dame, the Planetarium, Olympic Stadium and McGill University are just some of the many famous sights during your tour. This afternoon is free to relax and  stroll Old Montreal, stroll downtown Montreal or shop the Underground Shopping Mall! (B)

DAY 7: Home

We depart Montreal for Kingston and here board a cruise boat to enjoy the beauty of the 1,000 Islands. There are more than 1,700 Islands, and even though some are merely rocks protruding from the water, quite a number of the Islands are large enough to host a family cottage. Afterwards we continue back to Toronto and our joining points sharing many fond memories with our fellow travellers and new found friends! (B)
